SciFest Parking, Food Venues, and Wi-Fi: 2024

Parking

Parking is designated on the Randolph College campus map, with the exception of P13, the Norfolk Avenue lot behind Martin Hall. The Norfolk Avenue lot is currently closed due to construction.  Overflow parking is available behind Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church on Norfolk Avenue on Saturday, March 23rd, and after church until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24th.

Food Venues

  • Randolph College Cheatham Dining Hall is open to the public for all you can eat meals. Hours are as follows:
    • Lunch on weekdays, Brunch on weekends: 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
    • Dinner: 5 – 7:45 p.m. (closes 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday)
  • Randolph College Skeller Grill & Coffee, located inside Main Hall, will be open to the public for the following special hours:
    • Saturday, March 23rd, from 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m
    • Sunday, March 24th, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight.
  • Rookies (ice cream, coffee) is adjacent to campus (174 Norfolk Avenue, across from Martin Science Building) and is open 4-10 pm.
    • Opening at 1 pm on 3/23 and 3/24 – On Saturday and Sunday of SciFest weekend, they will have extended hours beginning at 1 pm!
    • $1 Kid’s Scoop special –  to celebrate their 7th Birthday, Rookies is offering a $1 kid’s scoop special!
  • Oliver’s on Rivermont is also adjacent to campus (2946 Rivermont Avenue, at the corner of Norfolk and Rivermont) and is offering a “dinner & a movie” special for Friday 3/22, before our Scientist Goes to the Movies event!
  • On Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. there will be a variety of food trucks in front of Main Hall.

 

Please Note:

  • Children participating in the Science Day for 3rd-6th Graders event and the Science Day Activities for Little Scientists event will be served a free snack and drink. Please note that we cannot be responsible for possible allergens contained in these products.
  • Numerous events serve free refreshments (Keynote, Women in Science Reception, Movie Night, Star Party)

 

Wi-Fi

Guests may connect to the free “Randolph-Guest” hotspot when on campus.
