Physics Phest

Physics Phest is an initiative at Randolph College that intends to create a community for any and all Central Virginia students and teachers interested in physics and physical sciences, through the following initiatives:

  • A social organization that includes an informational listserve, a facebook page, and weekly dinners with the Randolph College Society of Physics Students.
  • Visits to physics classrooms across the region from a Professor of Physics & Engineering willing to supply information about studying physics and engineering, to teach any physics topic, or to perform a demo show.
  • A head-to-head physics/science quiz bowl as part of the Scifest weekend. Fun! Prizes! Meet the keynote!
  • Facilitation for students to compete in the national PhysicsBowl competition.

Everyone who has any interest in physics should sign up! No commitment necessary. If you provide contact information, we will invite you to events, share interesting information, contact you about the possibility of creating a team for the quiz bowl at Randolph College, and provide information and resources related to participation in the national PhysicsBowl. Please register below – you can unsubscribe at any time.
